Which Summer RV Rally Should I Attend? (Part II)
It may not be summertime according to the calendar just yet, but temperatures are rising, schools are letting out for summer vacation, and that summer travel bug is ferociously biting RV enthusiasts. Last week, we mentioned a couple of rallies that you should consider making a trip for this summer. As it happens, there are lots to choose from this summer, so your friends at Safe-T-Plus are back with a few more. So pick out an RV rally, load up the family, and move out. Memories don’t just happen, my friends; you have to make them happen! Good travels, RVers!
1. Escapade (Gillette, Wyoming)
The 53rd Escapade takes place June 30-July 5 and will feature more than 60 seminars, classes, and workshops. Vendors will be on hand in the Escapade Market area for those looking to make some ugrades to their RVs. The Rivoli Revue and Patty Davidson will provide entertainment for the event. Various HOPs (Head Out Program) include a visit to the Little Bighorn Battlefield Memorial, an excursion to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, and a golf outing.
2. Rocky Mountain High (Pueblo, Colorado)
This is Fleetwood RV Inc.’s fifth annual national RV rally, and it’s scheduled for August 2-6, at the Colorado State Fairgrounds. It’s open to all Fleetwood and American Coach owners, but attendees are welcome to bring along friends and family, regardless of their RV brand. Rocky Mountain High will feature daily driving seminars by Gary Lewis from RV Basic Training and musical entertainment by Ted Vigil (a tribute to John Denver) and Steve Weisberg, who was Denver’s original lead guitarist.
3. Gold Beach Rally (Gold Beach, Oregon)
The Gold Beach Rally will take place September 5-8 on the southern Oregon coast. Attractions during this event include the Gold Beach Brew and Art Festival and the Rogue Ramblers Car Club show. It’s also recommended that you take advantage of the ocean fishing and jet boat trips up the Rogue River. What is your favorite RV rally to attend? Are you planning on attending one this summer?
