You probably won’t have much trouble staying warm during the summertime months, but you will have to deal with the age-old question that RV travelers everywhere face: Where do I want to go? What do I want to do?
As far as questions go, these are far more stimulating than problematic. This great country of ours provides no shortage of spectacular sights to see and exciting events to experience. Your safe steering specialists are here to recommend just a few trips that will be worth looking into this summer. We’ve tried to give a nice sampling, hitting both the exciting go-there-do-this variety, as well as a destination with a more laid-back feel to it. And if one of these trips doesn’t float your boat, no worries: we’ll back with some more ideas next week! Wherever you choose to travel this summer, Safe-T-Plus wishes you happy RVing!
1. California Wine Festival
The California Wine Festival, held in Santa Barbara from July 18 to 20 sounds like a winner. Sample artisan cheeses, gourmet chocolates, and, of course, wine, wine, and more wine. Each day offers a different event from which to choose–but why choose? We suggest you go for the “gold.” In this case, the “gold” refers to a VIP “Gold” All-Event Pass, which is available in advance for the bargain price of $189 (you’ll have to shell out $310 at the gate.)
2. The U.S. Open
There are four grand slams in tennis, and New York City boasts what is arguably the most “rock and roll” of the four. Travel to Flushing Meadows to see the best in the world battle it out over the course of two weeks. The U.S. Open runs from August 26 to September 9.
3. Polson Motorcoach & RV Resort
“We love to do the big summer destination trip thing, but sometimes it’s nice to just head into the open country, relax, and not have to DO anything.”
Sound familiar? If you’re looking for a place to kick back, relax, and enjoy scenery you’re not likely to find at any theme park or bustling sporting event, then Montana may be just the destination for you this summer. The Polson Motorcoach and RV Resort is Montana’s top-rated RV resort, and it’s easy to see why. It offers spectacular views and close proximity to Glacier National Park. The resort itself features a pool, hot tub, mini-golf, basketball, volleyball, and an off-leash dog run.
